Instructions for Candidates and Candidates’ Campaigns

By vote of the membership of the Buncombe County Republican Men’s Club, who fronted the money for the booth, the 11^th District GOP Mountain State Fair booth is available for use by any and all Republican candidates for office in the 11^th Congressional District. Thousands of citizens from WNC will stream past the booth. Please consider the booth your “home away from home” for the 10 days of the fair, September 9-18. Candidates will find that it is easy and helpful to your campaign talk with citizens and to hand out literature about your principles and stands on issues. So please bring ample hand-out material with you to the fair when you come. However, we fair workers have found that we can hand out only a limited amount of material when you, the candidate, are not present. So, when you leave, please leave only a handful of material.

Important Reminder to Candidates: The rules of the WNC Mountain State Fair state that our “work” at the fair must stay inside the bounds of our 10-foot by 10-foot booth. Neither candidates nor volunteers may stand outside the booth to campaign or hand out literature.
