Our son, Stephen W. Keller, moved to Xanthi, Greece in 1994 to a) woo and marry Elena and b) teach English as a second language.
Stephen died in Greece on 25 October 2003. Details of his passing. His obituary was written by Tom Scocca. The eulogy which Davidson friend, Jon Morris, wrote and then read at Stephen's funeral on 28 October 2003.
In the US, a trust fund has been set up for the education of his children, George, now (2009) eight years old, and Katherine Alice, now (2009) five years old.
At Davidson College, the Stephen Keller Memorial (Scholarship) Fund has been established. It funds Junior Year Abroad to Germany/Greece for a selected student. Three students have traveled with funding from the Scholarship Fund.

There were two US memorial services for Stephen:
1. Rev. Christopher Edmonston, a classmate of Stephen's, organized a memorial service on Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m. It was held in the Lingle Chapel at Davidson College Presbyterian Church in Davidson, North Carolina.
2. Rev. Harold Hubble organized a memorial service on Sunday, December 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, which is east of Bel Air, Maryland, at 2106 Churchville Road. Rev. Lewis McDonald, Pastor of Oak Grove when Stephen was attending as a boy, spoke. Tom Scocca read a eulogy he had written while in Greece after the funeral. David Keller read, and embellished ad lib, remarks that he and Alice and George Keller had written about life with Stephen. Lisanne Brooks Blake read remarks she had written about her friendship with Stephen.
